“After visiting the nurse at my place of employment for my annual health check, the nurse discovered that my blood pressure was far too high and he could not ignore it.
With that in mind, the nurse advised me to go to my GP urgently. I made an appointment with my local surgery; within the hour and was seen by my doctor who straight away checked my blood pressure who also found it to be very high.
After a few other checks and a blood test – as well as being placed on an ECG machine – the doctor then placed me on medication for my blood pressure, which started immediately.
Without having the health check, anything could have happened…
